How to Donate your Vehicle
We have experienced trained facilitators ready and willing to help guide you through the process of donating a car in MN. To donate a car in MN to the Veteran's Car Donation Program call 1-877-999-8322 between Monday through Friday 7 AM to 8 PM, Saturday 8 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 6:30 PM or leave a message for a return call. A representative from Cars will contact you to provide a pick up time for your vehicle.
We will provide hassle-free pick-up of your car. Simply fill out the car donation form provided for your convenience. The average pickup time for your car is between 12-24 hours in most cases. A Cars representative will contact you to provide a pick up time for your vehicle.
Types of vehicle accepted
We accept running and non-running cars and trucks. No need to change the oil, gas it up or clean it up. We cannot accept recreational vehicles or motorcycles.
The donation process
STEP ONE: Deciding to part ways with vehicle may be an emotional decision or a logical one. Extra or non-functioning vehicles can be costly, take up space and potentially hazardous to the environment. Donating your car to Minnesota Vietnam Veterans Charity assures veterans’ organizations become the beneficiary of your kind donation.
STEP TWO: We make pick-up an easy process with our partner, Cars. There is no need for you to make any arrangements – we do all the legwork once you have submitted your donation form. It couldn’t be any easier, right?
STEP THREE: On pick-up day just have your Title and Keys in hand and Cars will make the pick-up. You will receive a conditional receipt for $500 at the time of pick up. If your vehicle parts out or sells for more than $500; you’ll receive an additional deduction notification by the end of February, following year of your donation.
